Shopify development for stores that have outgrown their theme
Custom themes, apps, and storefront engineering — built for merchants who need Shopify to do exactly what their business does, not approximately.
Sound familiar?
The problems we build for
Your theme was fast when you bought it. Three years of apps, patches, and workarounds later, every change breaks something else.
The feature you need — a configurator, a B2B price list, a delivery-date picker — doesn't exist as an app, or the app that does it fights with two others.
Your product data lives in a spreadsheet, your inventory in another system, and someone retypes it all into Shopify by hand.
You're replatforming to Shopify and can't afford to lose your catalog, your customers, or your search rankings on the way over.
Pages take four seconds to load on a phone, and you can see it in your bounce rate.

Shopify Store Audit
The low-risk way to start: a written engineering audit of your theme, apps, and performance — what's actually wrong, what it costs to fix, and in what order. You keep the report whether or not we do the work.
- Theme and app inventory: what's load-bearing, what's dead weight, what's fighting
- Performance profile measured on real mobile settings, not a desktop simulator
- Your Repair Plan — prioritized, priced, and yours to keep

The work, concretely
Custom theme development
Themes built from the ground up in Liquid and TypeScript for your brand and your buying flow — not a marketplace template with your logo on it.
- Online Store 2.0 architecture with sections and blocks your team can edit
- Design implemented precisely, responsive across devices
- Structured data AI shopping agents can read — agentic-commerce / GEO ready
Theme surgery & feature builds
Targeted work on your existing theme: new features, redesigned sections, removal of dead app code — without a risky full rebuild.
- Theme audit before any work begins
- Features built natively instead of stacking more apps
- Changes shipped through a duplicate theme, never live-edited
Shopify apps & API work
Private and custom apps against the Admin and Storefront APIs when the App Store doesn't have an honest answer to your problem.
- Custom admin tooling for your operations team
- Storefront API / headless builds where they're genuinely justified
- Webhook-driven automation for orders, inventory, and fulfillment
Migrations & replatforming
Structured moves onto Shopify from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix, or legacy platforms — with your catalog, customers, order history, and SEO intact.
- Mapped data migration with verification counts on both sides
- URL redirect strategy so rankings survive the move
- Parallel-run staging store before cutover
Performance & conversion engineering
Measured, not guessed: profiling what actually slows your store down, then fixing the theme, image, and app weight behind it.
- Before/after measurement on real devices
- App audit — most stores run apps nobody remembers installing
- Core Web Vitals treated as an engineering target, not a report

Shopify Development the way we practice it
Audit before surgery
Existing stores get a written theme and app audit first, so decisions about rebuilding versus repairing are made on evidence — and you keep the audit whether or not we do the work.
Native over app-stacking
Every installed app is rent: monthly fees, script weight, and another vendor in your checkout. Where a feature is core to your business, we build it into the theme or a private app you own.
Duplicate-theme discipline
All work happens on a duplicated theme with preview links. Your live store is never the development environment.
Need your store talking to the rest of your business?
Inventory in an ERP, orders into accounting, fulfillment through a 3PL, customers into a CRM — connecting Shopify to the systems around it is its own discipline, and one of our three core services.

FAQ
Shopify Development: frequently asked
Do you work with our existing theme or only build new ones?
Both. Existing themes get an audit first: sometimes the honest answer is a repair plan, sometimes it's that a rebuild costs less than another year of patching. You get that recommendation in writing, with reasons, before deciding.
What does it cost to hire a Shopify developer?
Scoped feature work on an existing theme starts in the low four figures (USD); full custom theme builds and migrations are larger, quoted fixed-price after a scoping call. You always see the number before committing. Beware of quotes that don't ask questions first.
Can you build features without adding more apps?
Usually, yes — and it's our default. Features that are core to how you sell belong in your theme or a private app you own, not in a third-party subscription that adds script weight and can disappear or change pricing.
Do you handle migrations to Shopify from WooCommerce or Magento?
Yes. Migrations run as mapped, verified data moves — products, variants, customers, and order history — with a redirect plan for every URL that matters, and a staging store you approve before anything is cut over.
Will you work alongside our marketing team or agency?
Yes. We're set up to be the engineering side while a marketing team owns campaigns and content. Sections and settings are built so non-developers can edit safely, and we document what we hand over.
Do you do Shopify Plus work?
We build against the same APIs and theme architecture Plus uses, including checkout extensibility and B2B features where a store is on Plus. If your requirement is Plus-specific, raise it on the first call and we'll tell you plainly whether it's inside our depth.
